Our success is built on our company culture of loyalty, respect, team work and trust. We take great pride in our longstanding relationships with our clients and each other. Knowledge and tradition provide the foundation upon which we stand; our drive to innovate, refine and perfect our products constantly moves us forward. Our clients are the custodians of history; they trust us to be the custodians of their information.
Over two decades in the art business, Eric Kahan has earned the loyalty and respect of private collectors,
Fortune 500 companies, and beloved institutions of art and culture. He founded Collector Systems in
2004 with the idea to make it easier for his clients to enjoy their collections, not worry about managing
them. As CEO, Eric is responsible for driving the strategic direction, business development and day-
to-day operations of the company. He believes the best measure of Collector Systems' success is the
moment when a new client logs on to Collector Systems for the first time, sees their collection in an
entirely new way, and says, "Wow."
Collector Systems reflects Eric's lifelong fluency in the languages of art, business and technology. He holds two degrees from University of Stony Brook: one in economics, the other in photography. He put both to use in his work as a commercial photographer, lecturer, writer and consultant. As co-founder of GK Framing, his innovations in technology and conservation science redefined the industry standard. As a volunteer EMT, he has donated time to the Red Cross and worked on-site in Mississippi two weeks after Hurricane Katrina. He has two children and lives in New York.
Clients trust Kathryn Osborn to provide the highest level of professional collection management service.
She also serves as the liaison between the Collector Systems sales team and IT department.
Kathryn grew up in Liverpool and holds two master's degrees: She studied ancient history, with a speciality in Roman culture, at St. Andrews University in Scotland, and earned a second graduate degree in archaeology from University College of London, with an emphasis in the theory behind museums and cultural institutions. Her work there inspired her to move to New York City to pursue a certificate in museum studies from New York University. Before coming to Collector Systems, she helped manage collections at the New York Natural History Museum, the New York Public Library, and Bard College.
Kathryn is excited to be part of a company that allows her to combine her experience in technology with her deep knowledge of the art world to bring both into the twenty-first century. She lives in Connecticut.
Some of the most exciting moments at Collector Systems begin when Chris says, "I have an idea." As our
chief technology officer and creator of the core technology behind Collector Systems, Chris provides the
driving vision for our research and development team and directs all corporate-wide engineering projects.
He is the person who makes sure that every new feature lives up to our company standard: Our success is
based on making the impossible possible, and simple for our clients to use.
Before coming to Collector Systems, Chris graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in bio-medical engineering, then spent five more years working at the university as part of a neurological research team. His varied experiences give him a Renaissance perspective on understanding how people interact with technology. Chris is a fourth-generation New York City native and lives in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
